What you need to know
- On Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th of May, the entire complex will be closed to the public. This also includes The Spa, Information Centre and Tea Kiosk Café & Grill. The Spa and our Lap Pool will also be closed on Monday 13th May.
- We will be open on ANZAC day (Thursday 25th April) from 10am - 7pm. For anyone wishing to commemorate all Australians and New Zealanders who served, there will be a dawn service held at the Hanmer Springs War Memorial.

- Open Daily including every public holiday except Christmas Day when all our facilities are closed.
- The Spa operating hours: Monday - Sunday: 10am - 6pm
- Our current hours for Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools are: 10am - 7pm daily, including weekends and school holidays.
- on Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th of May, our entire complex will be closed to the public, due to the replacement of our underground bore pump. The Spa will be closed from the 13th - 15th May.
- Located on the corner of Jacks Pass Road & Amuri Avenue. Entrance to the complex is at 42 Amuri Avenue, Hanmer Springs
- Hanmer Springs is 90 minutes drive from Christchurch or Kaikoura or 3 hrs drive from Greymouth
- The Hanmer Connection shuttle service travels to Hanmer Springs from Christchurch on a daily basis, departing Christchurch at 9am. The return trip to Christchurch leaves at 4.30pm
- Car parking is available on the streets surrounding the Thermal Pools. Alternatively you can leave your car at your accommodation as the pools are located within a 5-10 minute easy walk from most accommodation
- There is wheelchair access around the complex including wheelchair ramp access to several pools and aqua Chair/lifts available on a range of pools
- A senior must be 60 years or over
- Children under 8 years to be actively supervised at all times by a responsible caregiver
- Children under 5 years must be within arm's reach at all times
- Children 5-7 years must be in visual contact and close enough to give immediate assistance at all times
- All waterslides are included, children must be a minimum of 5yrs and 1.2m tall to use these
- A responsible caregiver is defined as someone aged 16 years or older
- Swimsuits available for hire, swimsuits or short $5 (payable on the day)
- The thermal waters are rich in minerals, which help your body repair and rejuvenate
- They increase the flow of oxygen-rich blood throughout the body, nourishing vital organs and tissues
- People have been bathing in our natural thermal waters since 1883
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience. Mobile vouchers are NOT accepted

The thermal pools were everything we had hoped for and the kids had a blast on the waterslides and in the lazy river! Such a beautiful country, it would be hard not to enjoy every beautiful scenic moment! Would definitely come back and recommend to others!

Great relaxing experience
Great relaxing experience. They have a variety of different pools to choose from including sulphur pools which range from 40 - 42 degrees. The water slide is not included in the entry price and is extra. They have lockers available to store valuables and open lockers for clothing. Would recommend to anyone wanting to relax.

These pools are AMAZING
These pools are AMAZING! You are surrounded by complete and utter beauty and the serenity of the place is just beautiful. There are loads of different pools and the place is huge so you can go in family pools or have a private pool. Highly recommend this if visiting Christchurch, Hanmer Springs or passing through on your way south.
