Soar over Victoria's verdant Yarra Valley wine region on this 1 hour hot air balloon flight that provides outstanding views of this famous part of Australia, capping off the experience with a delicious champagne breakfast! Departing early in the morning when the air is at its clearest, you'll join your friendly ballooning guides at a serene launch point surrounded by rolling hills and the iconic vineyards of the Yarra Valley before the balloon inflates, you hop in the spacious basket, and begin to ascend up, up and away until you're at a suitable height.
Hot air ballooning is an utterly tranquil and peaceful experience that is only further enhanced by the greenery of the Yarra Valley; see the likes of the Yarra River, hills and mountains from thousands of feet above as the sunrise slowly spreads its warm, glowing light over the panorama below. Be sure to bring your camera as you'll come away with some unforgettable shots of the Yarra Valley that are seen by relatively few people - definitely something to show your friends and family once the flight is complete! - You're in the hands of the most experienced pilots and ground crew in the business
- Tours depart 1.5hrs prior to sunrise from Balgownie Estate (1309 Melba Hwy, Yarra Glen VIC 3775)
- Please allow 3.5hrs for the flight only experience, 4.5hrs for the flight & breakfast experience and 6.5hrs for the flight, breakfast and transfers experience.
- The flight itself is approx. one hour
- The time will be confirmed by the pilot the night before your flight
- Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation tour voucher with complete tour operator details. You will be required to download the Global Ballooning mobile app to receive the flight status update by 6pm the night before your flight.
- Wear clothes as for hiking (may get dirty so don’t wear white)

- Hot air ballooning is an audience participation activity and you will be encouraged to assist with the set up and pack away of the balloon itself. It is an active morning in the outdoors, so do wear clothes that can get stained or dirty
- Please note - The balloon burners sometimes drip water mixed with Carbon. Global Ballooning will not be responsible for clothing that is stained or damaged because of our adventure activity
- Weather - If you do not fly due to inclement weather, please use the rebook link to confirm a new date (this will be emailed to you), or email balloon@globalballooning.com.au if you would prefer a refund.

- Your booking is valid for 12 months from your first cancelled flight date.
- If you cancel your flight more than 7 days before the flight, no cancellation fee will be charged and you are able to reschedule a new flight day
- If you cancel your flight within 7 days before the flight, a cancellation fee of $50 per person will be charged and you are able to reschedule a new flight day
- If you cancel your flight within 48 hours the flight, no refund will be offered and you will not be able to reschedule a new flight day
- If your flight is cancelled, you will have 12mths to re-book. Strictly non-refundable
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of flight

First the good things
First the good things, Global Ballooning has excellent contact right through and we're on time picking us up. The breakfast was so good, it was a buffet, there was pastries, cereal and hot food and you could try some wine. I loved how our pilot took a photo of us up in the air and we could download for free. The bad thing, was I felt it should've been cancelled, there was very poor visibility as it was so cloudy and it was showering when we packed up, so we were wet right through and cold. We were told the night before to bring spare shoes, which was too late for us as we were in Melbourne already. We ended up spending 40min drying our shoes with a hair dryer as we had another tour that afternoon. If it was a lovely day it would of been worth the money but it wasn't for us. I was told they checked the forecast but mine had said all week we were expecting showers.
